Health care costs traditionally have been paid by insurance companies based on "Fee for service." That is a physician based their charges on the costs of providing that service.

Managed care is an attempt to lower the price of health care services without lowering the standards of quality. A patient's access to services may be coordinated and managed by a primary care provider. These services are offered within a network of health care providers, such as Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs).

Advantage Foot Care Centers participate with a large number of managed care companies, private insurance companies, military retirees, traditional major medical and of course “fee for service.”
